This article deals with the nekomusume in Japanese mythology

The Nekomusume is a creature found in Japanese mythology. Unlike its modern counterpart, the catgirl, nekomusume often had more feline traits than human and could be considered more of a kemono than its modern form. In some cases, it was said that they were cats playing pranks that would switch from cat to human form and would eventually become stuck in-between.[1], while in others, they would be human females whose anger was similar to that of an agitated cat, and would take on the features of said animal.[2] At some point these traits were deemphasized, creating the modern catgirl.

I am back everyone! sorry it took me so long to get to your notes and membership approvals! I had some password problems but everything is back up to speed! I hope everyone had a great holiday! There is also an art trade project that has suggested! It sounds really fun and is open to all who want to participate! The rules will be listed below.


Project!

Art trade with members!

Send a note to the club with the title art trade and I will randomly match up members names to trade catgirl art with, and the theme of this project is LOVE!!! Aww how sweet!

So basically you would draw that members catgirl whom you got chosen for and draw them in a love scene of some sort. Romantic, funny, whatever your imagination can come up with!

I will also be participating in this event and so will ~DavisJes. Please send in your notes and questions if you have any. Members names will be cut off in 1 week from today (Feb. 16, 2007) at 12pm central time. At that time I will post the list in a new journal entry and you will have 2 weeks to produce and submit your art to your chosen member and catgirl-zone. It is then your responsibility to get in touch with that member and create a work of art.

So PLEASE do not enter your name if you do not intend to create a submission. This is for serious art traders!!

Hello catgirl lovers and new members...and passer by's! Just wanted a quick update and brainstorm.

First of all, I will be out May 18-27th, going on a vaccation and getting married! (YAY). But please continue to submit pics and request to join, I will be trying to update just as much as I can while at the beach (jealous?!?). Sorry for the lack of updates recently and such long waits for replies and submissions, after the whole wedding thing is over I will have more time!
